Shop tour before remodel

Here is a short and simple video I shot of my shop before I started the remodel.
I have things just about where I want them now but had to get to work and have not shot any video of the new set-up yet.....actually it ended up not changing that much after-all:)

I hope you enjoy seeing my little rough video shot on my phone.

A Personal Camp Recurve

This is a cool little Personal Camp Knife that I just finished. Perfect for Every Day Carry around the campsite!

Forged to shape out of Aldo's 1075 with Differential Heat Treatment and etched surfaces.
OAL is 9 & 7/8" > the blade being 5 & 3/8"
This sweet little cutter exhibits some nice Desert Ironwood Handles with Ebony-Inlay over a blind peened pin 3-other peened pins that are visible & detail carving to boot

This knife balances wonderfully...just check the last image where I have it balancing on the end of a chopstick...sorry the images are a bit blurry, but you get the idea.

I hope you enjoy seeing this new creation!

My First Piece of Damascus > Damascus Riflemans Wharny

This is my first Piece of Damascus created by myself and with the help of Jerry Greenelsch.

The billet was created out of 1084 and 15N20, a real classic material choice for toughness and edge retention. I actually made two knives out of the piece of Damascus, this BIG Damascus Riflemans Wharncliff bing the first, the second was this fine Personal EDC Camp Recurve.
There was one other piece that I gave to skilled knifemaker, Reinhardt Swanson as he was visiting the shop on that same day.

I hope you enjoy seeing the few process shots I took the day we made the Damascus.
